What is the HEW Summer Workshop?
- Focus: To introduce NC educators to Judaism and the foundations of the Holocaust by examining the idea of vulnerable populations then and now.
- Essential Question: How do NC educators address difficult topics (racism, prejudice, anti-Semitism, and the Holocaust) with their students, many of whom are a part of today's vulnerable populations.

The Council on the Holocaust will cover the following for public schools educators:
- Most meals (catered meals and/or meal allowance money)
- Housing accommodations at North Carolina State University
- Certificates for 30 contact hours for CEU credits
